Supervisor Guidelines for MUSIC Program Student Nominations
To nominate your students for the MUSIC program, please note that primary candidates should be engineers with experience in biotechnology and biology.
Selected students must take two anchor courses in the MUSIC program:
• Biomedical Data Fundamentals (BMEG 591N)
• ML in Medicine (BMEG 591T)
Additionally:
• Students lacking a strong programming background will be required to complete SBME’s self-directed Coding Boot Camp (40 hours) within two months of accepting their offer, as well as CPSC 330 (Applied Machine Learning) in Term 1.
Supervisor Responsibility
Commit to supporting the MUSIC program by committing to participating in one of our seminar or professional development courses (guest lectures, mentoring, etc.).
