The PIMS Institutional Exchange Program aims to reduce the carbon footprint of travel for research purposes by maximizing the scientific impact of each visit. Support is available for visits for PIMS researchers visiting one of our international partner organizations as well as external researchers participating in a BIRS event who wish to extend their visit at a PIMS member institution. Please read through the options below carefully, and complete the form which best suits your needs.

If you are a researcher at a PIMS Member institution wishing to extend your visit at one of our international partner organizations. Please complete the Outbound Collaborations Form, not this form.

If you are a participant in a BIRS program, and wish to extend your stay by visiting one of the PIMS member institutions, please continue and complete this form.

This form will ask you to provide details about yourself (including a recent copy of your CV) and information about the BIRS event you are attending. You will also be asked to describe your proposed collaboration with a host at one of the PIMS member institutions, and to upload a letter of support from that person.
