British Columbia Youth Choir 2025 Singer Audition Form

The BC Youth Choir will meet in Vancouver from May 23-25, 2024.

Rehearsals will begin on Friday, and the performance will be on Sunday. Our clinician for BCYC 2025 will be Darita Seth! He is an extraordinary musician based in Los Angeles, California. Read his bio on our website here. 

If you are accepted to the choir, your acceptance email will include instructions for payment of the fees and travel information. Please contact manager@bcyc.ca if you have any questions. 

Fees for BCYC 2025 are $285 including optional group accommodation in Vancouver and $185 without accommodation. Upon acceptance to the choir, these fees must be paid before the weekend of the choir. The payment deadline will be specified upon acceptance.

Fees include:

• 3 days of professional-level rehearsals and music-making
• Sheet music (yours to keep!)
• Performance at the conclusion of the event
• An individual BCCF membership (worth $40)
• 2 nights of shared accommodation (optional)
• All meals for the duration of the event

Financial assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis - please indicate on the form whether the cost listed above will prevent you from participating and include a brief description of your financial situation to be considered for a bursary.

If you participated in BCYC 2024, you are still required to fill out the form, however, the submission of new audition materials is optional. Returning singers will be evaluated on the most recent submission of audition materials in the case of no new submission.
