Join a Community Action Days project to apply your skills, discipline learning, and leadership to community action projects working schools and non profit organizations that that directly benefit local communities! Below you can find available project opportunities as they become available.

Youth Food Policy Advocate with BC Alliance for Healthy Living 

  • Description: Collaborate with BC Alliance for Healthy Living, a coalition of medical organizations and nonprofits dedicated to combating chronic diseases through policy and programs that address upstream social determinants of health, to tackle food insecurity in BC! This project includes an interactive session of games, communal cooking, dialogue, and storytelling to explore food insecurity and pricing in BC while creating space for youth voice in food policy advocacy. Interested participants will also have the opportunity to share their story and be featured in an awareness raising social media campaign. Join us and be part of the movement for accessible, healthy food for all!

  • Location: Food Hub Market, Centre for Interactive Research on Sustainability, 2260 West Mall

Registration into projects operates on a first come, serve basis with only projects that are still actively seeking volunteers listed below. Make sure to only select projects that are your first choice and be mindful of conflicting dates and times.
